Fundraising

Community Recycling - The Village Hall is a collection point for recycling certain plastic packaging. The recycling programmes are sponsored by various manufacturers. We collect the following packaging:
· Crisps, popcorn, pretzel and nuts packets, including multipack bags.
· Cut bread bags, plus other bakery wrappers eg crumpets, rolls, bagels, wraps, etc, including closure tags & waxed paper wrap.
· Confectionary - sweets pouches, chocolate & Magnum wrappers plus outer bags.
· Any flexible cheese and all Babybel packaging.
· Dishwasher and home hygiene products
· Dental products - electric toothbrush heads, flossing sticks, interdental brushes & floss containers.
· Pringles cans
· Ring carriers from drinks cans.
· Biscuit wrappers (collected for Harlington Church)
Full details of the products collected can be found at: www.terracycle.com/en-GB/brigades
There are bins (through the gate into the front courtyard of the village hall) so that you can drop your recyclable items off at any time. Please spread the word to reduce waste and also benefit the village hall. You've helped us raise well over £1000 so far and prevented a mountain of plastic from going to landfill. Thank you.
Please do:
Empty items of food remnants
Flatten crisp packets
Place small wrappers in a bag eg. Babybel
Please don’t:
Drop off any items not listed above
Knot/origami the wrappers as these have to be unpicked before dispatch to Terracycle.
