The village hall has a special birthday in 2015 as it is 75 years since Howard Spensley gave the building to the village. To celebrate the committee will be holding an exhibition on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September.
There will be a display of photos and timeline exhibits along with plans for the proposed major refurbishment of the hall. Light refreshments will also be available.
We would like the community to be part of this event and so if you or any member of your family has memories, photographs or any other memorabilia associated with the hall we would be really pleased to hear from you.
If you need further information or have items which you would be willing to lend for the duration of the exhibition please get in touch with Jill (tel: 712859), Yvonne (tel: 713673) or any committee member.
These days the hall is very busy during the week with preschool, adult and youth drama, Brownies, toddler and older people’s groups, plus WI and Parish Council meetings. At weekends it is a popular venue for social gatherings and children’s and family parties
